On July 16, 1945, the United States conducted the first nuclear detonation test at the 'Trinity' site in New Mexico and thus began a long history of atomic science and testing within the United States borders. Now, in 2012, there is a dedicated repository for the collected nuclear history of the country. As a preservation measure, many accessories and artifacts have been placed in this repository - video footage, photographs, scientific documentation, and collections belonging to various scientists from history. All of this can be observed in one single location only - the National Atomic Testing Museum in Nevada.
