When it comes to the global economy, it should be of little surprise that banks rank as the largest stockholders of the global market. Based upon recent rankings, banks such as Goldman Sachs, Vanguard and JP Morgan, have a disproportionate ownership of the global economy. For these companies, global security is not just a catch phrase, but an absolute need in order to operate. Due to the potential benefits these corporations offer, many individuals will try to obtain employment from these corporations, but only a few will succeed. One way to improve the chances of top-rated security employment is to obtain an education from a top-rated corporate security school.
The United States is heavily involved in overseas ventures and deploys hundreds, and often thousands, of diplomatic and military personnel to various regions of interest. Just as often, and arguably more often, private businesses engage in the same type of operations, but for financial stability as opposed to political stability. Each corporate employee assigned overseas takes a risk, but it is up to corporate security to identify potential threats to the employees and the company in order to mitigate those risks.
Global security is often understood to be the international relationships of countries and how they interact and impact each other. For corporate security these political relationships can indicate possible problems that might impact the corporation's operational ability. It is in this way that global and corporate security training provides the understanding of how international relations and security directly affect corporations.
Historically, global security was taught at the military level or by on the job training within a corporation. Due to the necessity of such training, corporate security schools are becoming established in order to increase the knowledge base of future security practitioners. A properly vetted and accredited corporate security school offers a detailed look and analysis of the global issues faced by corporations and government alike and prepares students for jobs in both sectors.
A corporate security school should provide training as to the liabilities that are likely to be encountered from various situations in the global setting. Most U.S. laws are not enforced outside our national boundaries, so area studies should be taught in order to understand the importance of knowing the laws, customs, business practices and potential government involvement of the host country. While much of the ability to obtain such information applies to business aspects, it also assists with the security plan of the corporation.
Global security has been the focus of attention for many years. Large corporations have placed strong footholds in countries that once offered little to the rest of the world. As the economic borders increase, so does the opportunity for foreign groups to cause harm to U.S. based interests. In order to understand the culture of globalization, it is encouraged for anyone with interest in the security field to go to an accredited and quality corporate security school. The knowledge obtained from such a school will provide foundational education into this vast new employment field.
