Below are some tips for surviving law school:

Go to Class Every Day

This may seem like a no-brainer, but it is one of the most important things that you can do to succeed in law school. Missing one day of class in law school is like missing a whole week. Things happen, and you will probably have to miss class a few days out of the semester. However, if you have to miss a class because of a family emergency or illness, then you should get your assignments from your professor as soon as possible.

Go Over Your Notes Every Day

It is wise to study every day because repetition is the key to retention. You do not want to wait until the day before the test to start studying. Waiting until the last minute to study is very stressful. You do not want to be stressed out on the day of your test because that can interfere with your ability to concentrate.

Ask for Help When You Need It

It is important to note that the concepts that you learn in law school often build on each other. That means that if you are lost in chapter one, then you will probably still be lost when you get to chapter two. Your professors are there to help you, so you should not hesitate to ask for help when you need it. Most professors are more than willing to work with you if they see that you are trying. Furthermore, you should not hesitate to ask a question in class if you do not understand something.

Don't Expect a Curve

You may have received a couple of curves while you were earning your bachelor of laws, but you should not expect that in law school. Many law schools enforce a B-curve policy, and there are some professors who do not give A's.

Take a Break When You Need It

Law school is stressful, so you should take a break when you feel like you need it. Going out with friends, listening to music and exercising are some of the things that you can do to get away from the stresses of law school.

At the end of the day, the courses you take to enhance your skills are more valuable than your degree emphasis. If you begin to work on the skills you need to be a superb attorney in the future, while you are in undergrad, you will be in control of your career.
